Avocado Avocados are something that most people wouldn't assume would be toxic for dogs. It's a healthy green, it has good fats and is full of vitamins. However when it comes to dogs they are very toxic. It contains a substance called Persin which is contained in the leaves of the avocado plant, as well as in it's flesh and seed. It can cause vomiting and diarrhea. 4. Artificial Sweeteners ( Xylitol) Often found is "sugar free" sweets or products. This can be very dangerous if your dog ingest anything with Xylitol in it. However Grapes and Raisins can cause severe liver damage to your dog.
